The title refers to the wonderful scenery we have enjoyed today, not to the quality of the photography as I could never do it justice. Erika and I travelled first to Grindelwald (highlighted in orange on the map).

Grindelwald’s development from a farmer’s village in the mountains to a tourist destination of international renown began in the 18th century. The town at the foot of a glacier, with its spectacular backdrop hasn’t lost any of its attractiveness over the years.
My lunch of Rõsti mit Cremespinat und Spiegeleise was a real treat.

Views of the mountains were breathtaking no matter in which direction one looked.

INTERLAKEN is in the Swiss Canton of Bern and sits between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun. It is 567 meters above sea level and has a population of 5,500.

Jungfraujoch, 4158 metres, as seen from the Main Street.
And the coffee and cake was very good too!!

To bring our day to a close we witnessed the most amazing sunset over the mountains and reflected in Lake Brienz.
(This is for the memory bank as too difficult to photograph from the train)
Something I will not forget.
